EMDR

Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) is a structured therapy that helps people process distressing memories, reduce emotional intensity, and build healthier beliefs about themselves. It is an evidence-based approach often used for trauma, anxiety, and other mental health concerns.

How does it work?

EMDR works by activating the brain’s natural healing processes. Through guided eye movements (or other forms of bilateral stimulation such as tapping or sounds), clients safely revisit painful memories while reprocessing them in a way that reduces their impact. This helps shift unhelpful beliefs and allows new, positive perspectives to emerge.
