Our Mission. Our Difference

We recognise that you are a unique individual with diverse experiences, strengths, and challenges. We believe that everyone has the potential for growth and self-improvement, irrespective of your past. We also understand that your mental health is impacted by all areas of your life – emotional, physical, spiritual, sexual, financial and social – and at times, we may need to explore each of these areas to improve your overall wellbeing. By taking this holistic approach, we'll work with you to identify the things that bring balance and meaning to your life, and help you develop the tools and strategies you need to create a deeper sense of purpose.

Please know that your privacy is extremely important to us, and we are committed to being transparent about any potential conflicts of interest. You can trust that we prioritise your confidentiality as we work together.

Our supportive, down-to-earth, and non-judgmental, neuro-affirming approach creates a space where you can feel comfortable being yourself. With a listening ear, a fresh perspective, and practical tools at your disposal, we're here to help you develop the skills and strategies needed to enhance your life. Our point of differences include:

  • Providing evidence based psychological strategies, but in our hearts we are social workers. Meaning, we consider that your wellbeing is connected to all of your circumstances, including your social, cultural, and spiritual world!

  • By integrating our own lived experience and professional training, we provide personalised support for those navigating the world of neurodivergence.

Hey, I'm George. Accredited Mental Health Social Worker & Co-Founder of Mind Over Matters

Let’s be real—life gets messy sometimes. We all go through stuff that can throw us off balance: stress, anxiety, identity changes, feeling stuck, or just not feeling like ourselves. Whatever it is, I’m here to listen, understand, and work with you to make things feel a little lighter.

My approach is down-to-earth, supportive, and zero judgement. I don’t believe in one-size-fits-all therapy or fancy jargon. Instead, I focus on real conversations about what’s going on for you and how we can find practical ways forward—together.

What drives me is connection—getting to know your story, seeing your strengths (even when you can’t), and helping you find clarity and direction.

I work with people from all walks of life, but I have a special interest based of my training & own lived experience in supporting:

  • Neurodivergent folks (ADHD, Autism) navigating a world not always built for us!

  • Stress management & burnout. Sometimes we just forget to look after ‘us’.

  • Mens Mental Health As a male, im passionate about encouraging other men to challenge societal norms, and seek help, be vulnerable and get the support they need.

  • Life transitions, identity & attachment. Its amazing how small things from our past we can let determine who we are today!

  • Supervision & Management / Business Support. - with many years’ experience in management, I also provide Clinical Supervision.

Hi, I’m Tiarni — an Accredited Mental Health Social Worker and Co-founder of Mind Over Matters.

We all hit bumps in the road, some bigger than others, you know those things that feel confusing, heavy, or just downright painful. The good news is you don’t have to figure them all out on your own. I’m here to help you unpack what’s been going on, explore how it’s shaped you, and work out where you’d like to go from here, in a way that feels authentic and doable for you.

You can expect our sessions to be real and down to earth, with warmth, honesty, curiosity, and the occasional laugh. Because therapy doesn’t have to feel clinical to be meaningful.

Some of the areas I’m especially passionate about include:

  • Women’s Health – Walking alongside women through all ages and stages: from puberty, to pregnancy and motherhood, to navigating hormonal changes / imbalances (inc. PMDD), perimenopause and beyond, general wellbeing and everything in between.

  • Neurodivergence – Supporting those with ADHD and Autism to better understand themselves and feel empowered in a world often not designed for us!

  • Relationships – Exploring attachment, boundaries, and patterns to create more secure, fulfilling connections (Couples counselling coming soon!)

  • Identity – Navigating who you are, who you’re becoming, and what it means to show up fully in your own story.

  • Reflective Supervision & Consultancy –Reflective supervision and consultancy for practitioners, as well as Psychosocial Functional Capacity Assessments
